The PPI, excluding food and energy, fell 0.3% in June, according to Bureau of Labor Statistics numbers.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bitcoin\u2019s price was <a href=\"https:\/\/bitcoinmagazine.com\/bitcoin-price\">recently trading<\/a> at $64,943, a 2% 24-hour jump.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Bitcoin price has typically surged when signs inflation is cooling emerge as investors then expect a bigger chance of lower interest rates. Crypto, stocks and other \u201crisk-on\u201d assets have in the past done well in a low-interest rate environment.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Still, the cooling inflation does not take into account the latest escalation in the US-Iran war: President Trump this week said the US would take control over the Strait of Hormuz.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On Wednesday, the US leader vowed to intensify the bombing until Tehran stops attacking ships in the Strait of Hormuz and agrees to open the waterway.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe\u2019re going to hit [Iran] very hard the night after,\u201d President Trump <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=CfCMZk70-_w\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">told<\/a> Fox News on Tuesday. \u201cAnd then next week it gets really bad for them because next week comes the power plants.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe only way you can negotiate with these people is through strength,\u201d he added.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bitcoin\u2019s price has faced increased volatility since the US and Israel attacked Iran on February 28, with the leading cryptocurrency dropping hard on initial reports of war.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Since the start of the year, the leading cryptocurrency has shed nearly 30% of its value, and is now close to 50% below the $126,080 <a href=\"https:\/\/bitcoinmagazine.com\/markets\/bitcoin-price-skyrockets-to-all-time-high-of-125750-what-comes-next\">record<\/a> it notched in October.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Downwards pressure has been added to the Bitcoin price as US investors fast cashed out of spot exchange-traded funds throughout the month of June as inflation uncertainties and a boom in artificial intelligence-related stocks has led speculators to put their cash elsewhere.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-x wp-block-embed-x\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">JUST IN: Bitcoin rips to $65,374 <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/s.w.org\/images\/core\/emoji\/17.0.2\/72x72\/1f680.png\" alt=\"\ud83d\ude80\" class=\"wp-smiley\" \/> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/j0mRcD6SMY\">pic.twitter.com\/j0mRcD6SMY<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Bitcoin Magazine (@BitcoinMagazine) <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/BitcoinMagazine\/status\/2077380053185319165?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">July 15, 2026<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Bitcoin price jumps on cooler inflation numbers<\/h2>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Figures <a href=\"https:\/\/bitcoinmagazine.com\/markets\/bitcoin-price-jumps-above-64000\">released<\/a> on Tuesday from June\u2019s Consumer Price Index also showed that inflation appeared to be easing in the US, also leading to a jump in the Bitcoin price.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Over a seven-day period, Bitcoin\u2019s price has traded from $61,507 to as high as $65,501.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Traders are now keeping an eye on what new Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh \u2014 who\u2019s typically been an inflation hawk in the past \u2014 will do while leading the central bank.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The new Chair <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/economy\/central-banking\/warsh-tells-congress-the-fed-has-no-tolerance-for-high-inflation-50c5dfa8\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">told<\/a> congress this week that the Federal Reserve has \u201cno tolerance for persistently elevated inflation,\u201d and that policy makers at the bank share \u201ca resolute commitment to restoring price stability.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Kevin Warsh was sworn in as the new central bank chief in May.
