That friction weakens the promise that Ethereum scaling should feel invisible.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Buterin\u2019s comments point toward structural changes around fee handling, wallet standards, and cross-L2 coordination. The market should read that as a sign that Ethereum\u2019s next competition is not only with rival Layer 1s.
