Bitcoin peaked in mid-July after an impressive rally and shot beyond $123,000 to mark its latest record. However, it couldn\u2019t maintain such high levels and started to retrace.<\/p>\n<p>It spent the next ten days or so in a relatively tight range between $117,000 and $120,000 with little to no success during its breakout attempts in either direction.<\/p>\n<p>After a fakeout on July 25, which the bulls managed to defend, the actual breakdown started to take place at the end of the month and as August began. BTC was rejected at the $119,000 line and pushed south to just under $112,000 yesterday, which became a new three-week low.<\/p>\n<p>Some of the reasons behind this notable nosedive can be found <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptopotato.com\/from-tariffs-to-etfs-5-catalysts-behind-bitcoins-big-drop\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">here<\/a>, which range from macro tension and uncertainty to investors offloading substantial BTC quantities. Building on the latter, Ali Martinez noted that miners have also been selling lately, dumping more than 3,000 BTC in just two weeks.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Miners have offloaded over 3,000 Bitcoin <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/search?q=%24BTC&amp;src=ctag&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" data-wpel-link=\"external\" target=\"_blank\">$BTC<\/a> in the past two weeks! <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/enP4JtUyMs\" data-wpel-link=\"external\" target=\"_blank\">pic.twitter.com\/enP4JtUyMs<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Ali (@ali_charts) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ali_charts\/status\/1951752616675074543?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" data-wpel-link=\"external\" target=\"_blank\">August 2, 2025<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Given bitcoin\u2019s crash, which <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptopotato.com\/bitcoin-price-plummets-toward-113k-as-total-liquidations-approach-1-billion\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">liquidated<\/a> nearly $1 billion in over-leveraged positions at one point, the analyst also <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/ali_charts\/status\/1951527886109721084\" data-wpel-link=\"external\" target=\"_blank\">discussed<\/a> the next key support zones for the asset. They range between $105,000 and $107,000.
