Its market capitalization has surged to almost $2 billion, making it the 46th-biggest cryptocurrency.<\/p>\n<figure aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1435599\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/cryptopotato.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/PI-Price.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-1435599 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/cryptopotato.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/PI-Price.png\" alt=\"PI Price\" width=\"961\" height=\"755\" \/><\/a><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">PI Price, Source: CoinGecko<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>It remains unclear exactly what sparked this sudden move, and the timing is even stranger, as Bitcoin (BTC) and many leading digital assets have <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptopotato.com\/pi-networks-pi-token-jumps-again-as-bitcoin-btc-stalls-below-77k-market-watch\/\">headed south<\/a> today (April 28). Perhaps one potential catalyst could be the community enthusiasm surrounding the migration to protocol 22, which was <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptopotato.com\/pi-network-pi-news-today-april-23\/\">expected<\/a> to be completed earlier this week. However, the Core Team has not yet revealed anything on the matter.<\/p>\n<p>Analysts like JAVON MARKS believe PI has shown a \u201cclear breakout and retest of a resisting trend,\u201d which could signal the early phase of a \u201cmassive uphill run.\u201d They <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/JavonTM1\/status\/2048879954998288862\">previsi\u00f3n<\/a> that the price could skyrocket by 1,400% to approximately $2.80, and that \u201cthis may only be the beginning stages of the process.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This isn\u2019t the first time the market observer has made a bold forecast about Pi Network\u2019s cryptocurrency. When PI sat at roughly $0.36 last September, they <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptopotato.com\/pi-network-pi-might-be-headed-for-a-240-rally-analyst-explains-why\/\">called<\/a> for a 240% surge to $1.23 \u2013 a zone the token hadn\u2019t touched since spring 2025.<\/p>\n<p>Pi Update <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/CoreNews_2\/status\/2048462048456290805\">brought up<\/a> the fact that there is hype building because of the upcoming Consensus conference, which is scheduled to take place on May 7th. The ratio has spiked above 70, indicating the asset\u2019s valuation has increased too much in a short period and could be due for a short-term cooldown.
