Armstrong Revives a Crypto Classic<\/h2>\n

The story began on May 7, when Cobie, real name Jordan Fish, minted<\/a> an NFT that he claimed would determine the fate of Up Only.<\/p>\n

The token, inscribed with \u201cADMISSION: 1 SEASON OF UP ONLY TV,\u201d gave its holder the power to \u201ccompel Cobie and LedgerStatus into performing eight episodes.\u201d He wrote at the time, \u201cWhen the NFT is burned, the podcast will restart. Until then, please leave me alone.\u201d<\/p>\n

This week, Armstrong entered the picture, revealing<\/a> that his company had bought the NFT.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe rumors are true, we bought the NFT. @Up Only TV is coming back,\u201d posted the Coinbase co-founder.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

While the exact price was not officially confirmed, on-chain data analyzed by commentators suggested a transaction worth 6,500 ETH, or approximately $25 million.<\/p>\n

Cobie, who had earlier resisted calls to revive the show, leaned<\/a> into the moment with humor:<\/p>\n

Crypto users across X reacted with excitement:<\/p>\n

\u201cUpOnly spawned some of the best and funniest crypto lore,\u201d wrote crypto researcher Aylo. \u201cPretty sure every single active person on here will be tuning in.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Others, like Rhino, questioned<\/a> whether the new season could live up to its past, noting that there aren\u2019t anywhere near the level of interesting main characters that had been around in the last cycle. Cobie himself admitted<\/a> that finding good guests could be challenging, mentioning possible appearances from Arthur Hayes and prediction market experts, but no confirmed list yet.<\/p>\n

Nostalgia and Market Timing<\/h2>\n

The Up Only revival lands at a time when the crypto community could use a morale boost. Just last week, the market suffered a sharp downturn, with over $19 billion worth of leveraged positions liquidated<\/a> following renewed U.S.\u2013China trade tensions.<\/p>\n
