At the moment, DOGE still holds a sizable lead\u2014about a $2 billion gap\u2014though Hyperliquid\u2019s latest move has put it back in the spotlight.<\/p>\n<h2>HYPE Hits A New Peak<\/h2>\n<p>At the time of writing, HYPE was trading around $61.94. During the day, it briefly surged to $62.80, setting a new record peak for the platform\u2019s native token.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The price action has been accompanied by strong performance across several time horizons. On a weekly basis, the token is up roughly 48%. Over the past thirty days, the gains expanded to about 54%. Year-to-date, HYPE has recorded triple-digit growth, with a 134% increase so far.<\/p>\n<p>Part of the narrative around HYPE lately has been the alignment of bullish catalysts <a href=\"https:\/\/www.newsbtc.com\/breaking-news-ticker\/hyperliquid-etfs-send-hype-closer-to-all-time-highs-heres-what-the-data-shows\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener \">\u043f\u043e\u0434\u0447\u0435\u0440\u0442\u0430\u043d\u043e <\/a>over the past few weeks by NewsBTC. The latest surge comes as investors appear to be responding to a growing set of market drivers aimed at Hyperliquid\u2019s ecosystem\u2014especially within the Hyperliquid ETF space.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Institutional interest beyond this nascent sector is also being framed as a key element of the current momentum. LookOnChain flagged large purchases tied to Grayscale, reporting that the firm was loading up on HYPE.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In one hour alone, Grayscale was <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/lookonchain\/status\/2057468253556142461?s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">said <\/a>to be buying 115,733 HYPE, worth roughly $6.65 million. Looking across a longer window, the same tracking indicated Grayscale has accumulated 682,190 HYPE over the past week, totaling about $34.9 million.<\/p>\n<h2>Is Hyperliquid Undervalued?\u00a0<\/h2>\n<p>Meanwhile, developments on the infrastructure side may also be adding to the bullish case. Coinbase has been <a href=\"https:\/\/www.newsbtc.com\/crypto\/circles-next-step-hyperliquid-hype-integration-as-the-catalyst-for-real-supply-share-gain\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener \">named <\/a>as Hyperliquid\u2019s official USDC liquidity provider, strengthening the stablecoin plumbing around the platform.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In addition, Coinbase is reportedly set to acquire USDH brand assets, a move that could further reshape how Hyperliquid\u2019s token and stablecoin components fit together.<\/p>\n<p>Even with all of this, Bitwise\u2019s CIO Matt Hougan <a href=\"https:\/\/www.newsbtc.com\/breaking-news-ticker\/bitwise-bullish-on-hyperliquid-hype-labeled-undervalued-as-it-rallies-20\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener \">\u043f\u0440\u0435\u0434\u043b\u043e\u0436\u0435\u043d\u0438 <\/a>earlier this week that the market may not yet be fully pricing Hyperliquid\u2019s broader value proposition.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Hougan said Hyperliquid appears to be caught in what he described as a \u201cpricing error\u201d\u2014with investors treating it as little more than a perpetual futures exchange.
